Hi -
I've heard people express things like, "I don't mean to offend" or "I hope you won't be offended."
My response:
The gospel of the kingdom of GOD does sometimes offend.
Didn't Jesus, at times, offend folks with his holy truth messages? Do we ever read in the Bible where Jesus says anything like, "I don't mean to offend" or "I hope you won't be offended"? No. He said what He deemed fit to say and that's it. Some were offended and some weren't offended. Jesus so offended folks -- priest and elders . . . -- that they crucified Him.
It was said about Jesus in Matthews 13:57 - KJV, "And they were offended in him. . . ."
###
Now of course, Christ dwellers should steadfastly flow in love. And true worshippers of GOD shouldn't offend folks with ungodly conduct or unrighteous judging, which is malicious and cruel. But sometimes loving correction and rebuke shall offend. I make NO apologies for doing so when done, as led by the Spirit of the living GOD. And folks who are led by the Spirit to lovingly correct and to rebuke me shouldn't apologize for doing -- what is righteous judgment.
Nope, NO apologies from the messenger are in order -- when godly rebuke is in action.
And I ain't saying, "I don't mean to offend" or "I hope you won't be offended" or anything in similar vein. 'Cause the truth is that people may very well be offended. Sometimes it's par for the course. And I don't want folks who are sent by GOD to correct me to preface their messages with "I don't mean to offend . . ."
Pour on that holy correction/truth, and let the chips fall how they may. Let's do this gospel -- righteously people, and steadfastly aim to live FULL gospel truths.
Are you offended about anything in this post? If so, why? If not, why?
I'm immensely grateful to the Lord that as I sit here -- He has me in peace formation.

Hi -
Scriptures are from the King James Holy Bible.
Hi -
There's NOTHING wrong with vigorous disagreements AS LONG AS LOVE IS IN THE MIX. In the King James Holy Bible, we read some of what Jesus expressed, such as:
John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do . . ."
John 8:24 - . . . ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
John 8:55 - Yet ye have not known him: but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: . . .
###
Jesus is the epitome of love -- yet he uttered those bold truth words that surely "cut" to the hearts of those who heard him. And let's not forget that Jesus was crucified for expressing truth.
It concerns me that some folks come on here who are so EASILY offended by disagreements -- some vigorous disagreements and some milder in "discussion." Then some folks comment and say stuff like the love isn't flowing. I refer back to the words of Jesus shown above. Was the love flowing from Jesus when he uttered those truths?
Truth isn't always comfortable, but surely necessary. Love has various components . . .
Now, I can understand if baby Christians are easily offended. They're on milk diets until . . . -- and may or may not move forth to meat diets. But the other easily offended VETERAN folks are religious . . . NOT authentically born again?
Truly meat-living, Christ-dwelling Christians aren't thin skinned -- prone to pout modes with whining dispositions.
Yes, we're all flawed and need to correct, and to be corrected. But for some, it's time to grow up and to put away childish things . . .
Can veteran folks REALLY be steadfastly Christ-dwelling -- AUTHENTICALLY born again -- AND be thin skinned and easily offended -- or are such -- religious -- in the mode of Pharisees?
###
Matthew 13:21
Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word by and by he is offended.
Matthews 15:12
Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
Matthew 11:6
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
